Freda Diane Lawhorn Overton, 62, of 1406 Bryant Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Tuesday January 31, 2017 at 116 Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge.
She was born December 12, 1954 in Low Moor, Virginia, a daughter of the late Jesse James Campbell and Tulip Steber.
She was a former stock clerk for Walmart Stores and loved cats.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Milton Lawhorn, Billy Lawhorn, Charles Lawhorn, and a sister, Shirley Peters.
She is survived by her special friend and companion, Anthony Garrett of Clifton Forge; a son, Davie Overton, Jr., of Smith Mountain Lake; a sister, Sue Richards of Boones Mill; a brother, James Lawhorn and wife, Shirley of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Matthew Overton and Madison Overton.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
