Michael Edwin Weade, 54, of 2515 Smith Street, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday February 4, 2017 at his residence.

He was born August 1, 1962 at Patrick Air Force Base in Cape Canaveral, Florida, a son of Mary Brooks Barber of Covington and the late Malcolm Estil Weade.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Weade in 2014.

He was employed by New River Electrical Corp. as a groundsman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step father, Bill Barber of Covington; his two daughters, Angel Weade and Matt Robertson of Hot Springs and Brandy Campbell and her husband, John of Bedford; six grandchildren, Kayden Jack, Colton Jack, Chance Jack, Karoline Robertson, Adelynne Campbell and Ian Campbell; his three brothers, Malcolm Weade and his wife, Kerry of Covington, Billy Barber and his wife, B.J. of Wise, Virginia, and Bobby Barber and his wife, Amy of Lillington NC; three sisters, Marjorie Weade, Mary Beth Weade, and Mandy Arritt and her husband, Jonathan, all of Covington; and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2016 at 6 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Bill Gilliland officiating.

Following the service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home.
