Cromer Lee Johnson, age 83, of 858 Hayden Loop Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his residence.

He was born July 5, 1933 in Botetourt County, Virginia to the late James Milton and Mable Depriest Johnson.

He served in the United States Army and was a retired welder for Gala Industries.

In his retirement years, he enjoyed farming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Della Mae Johnson and his second wife, Mary Louise Vass Johnson.

He is survived by a son, Cromer Eldridge Johnson of Eagle Rock.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
