Covington Resident Worked With W. T. Grant, Kmart

Delberta (Bert) Arritt Haynes, 76, passed away suddenly on February 16, 2017 at her home in Covington, Virginia.

Born on November 18, 1940 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Lena Arritt.

She is survived by her two sons, Terry and his wife, Kawahna, Mitchell and his wife, Rhonda; a daughter, Shannon and her husband, Brad; two daughters-in-law, Dee and Piper; and two sisters, Connie Fenton and Ruth Via.

She also leaves to cherish her memory nine grandchildren; Lisa, Talan, Dalton, Ryan, Robbie, Michael, Calvin, Tyler and Trever and nine great-grandchildren; Ashland, Leah, River and Easton and her precious nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Delberta worked at Hercules, W.T. Grant and retired from Kmart as the restaurant manager, where she met many of her longtime friends.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and the Ladies Circle and she loved her church family. She will be greatly missed by many people.

Our Mom was such a kind hearted generous person and we will miss her so much, but we know she is in a better place as she is reunited with her late husband, Robert, her two sons, Bobby and Stephen, step grandson John Robert Persinger, her mother, Lena and her grandmother Abby.

A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Sonny Wiseman on Monday, February 20th at 2:30 p.m. from the First Church of the Nazarene located at 216 East Locust St. Covington, Virginia.

Interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening February 19th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home 350 North Maple Ave., Covington, VA 24426.
