Mrs. Grace Olena Holley Darnell, age 85, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was the wife of Murle Henderson Darnell.

Mrs. Darnell was born March 11, 1931 in Greenbrier County, WV, the daughter of the late Tobe Holley and Cora Wade Holley.

A resident of Greenbrier County, WV and White Sulphur Springs, WV for her entire life, she was a homemaker.

During her working career, she worked at a number of places including The Greenbrier Resort and the former Five and Ten Cent Store.

Grace was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Darnell is survived by two sons, Larry Henderson Darnell of White Sulphur Springs, WV and David Lee Darnell and wife, Robin of Charleston, WV; two daughters, Teresa Lynn Ambler of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Mary Ann Williams and husband, Bret of White Sulphur Springs, WV; six grandchildren, Jeremy Ambler, Brock Darnell, Evan Darnell, Grace Darnell, Katy Darnell and Brianna Williams; and one brother, Clifford Holley of Pickaway, WV. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Darnell was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Holley and Dennie Lee Holley and one sister, Mary Lynch.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. James Calvin Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M at Loving Funeral Home.
