Clifton Forge Resident Worked With The C&O Hospital, W. T. Grant; Was Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church Member

Kathleen Marie Taylor McMillion, age 88, of 609 Pine Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at her residence.

She was born September 1, 1928 in Allens Creek, Virginia to the late Claude and Lillian Woody-Taylor.

She was raised by her grandparents, Byrd and Tessie Woody.

Kathleen was a retired technician from the Respiratory Therapy department of the Chesapeake and Ohio Hospital in Clifton Forge. She also worked in the W.T. Grant store in Clifton Forge.

She was a member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, and became a life member of the Presbyterian Women in 1995. She served as a lead mother of the Mistyettes for a number of years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Claudine "Bootsie" Fedchak of Buffalo, New York; two sons, Charles M. McMillion of Hopewell, and Gerald L. McMillion of Salem; and a great grandson, Matthew Charles McMillion.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Mickey B. McMillion of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Janet Anglin and husband, Larry Anglin, Sr., and Kathie McMillion-Helms, both of Covington; a son, Darryl P. McMillion of Clifton Forge; a special daughter, Margaret "Wee Wee" Jeffries of Iron Gate; three granddaughters, Angela McMillion Roth and husband, Doug of Richmond, Charlene McMillion of Hopewell, and Tammy McMillion Studley and husband, Greg of Petersburg; three grandsons, Larry W. Anglin, Jr. of Covington, Jeff McMillion and wife, Teresa of Eagle Rock, and Jamie Helms and wife, Mallory of Clifton Forge; twelve great grandchildren, Megan Roth, Madison Roth, Hannah McMillion, Sierra Peterson, Koedi Anglin, Autumn Studley, Garrett McMillion, Liam McMillion, Josh Anglin, Melrose Roth, Ashton McMillion, and Brantley McMillion; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Louise Campbell, Helen Campbell Niday, Peggy Knick, and the Pine Street neighbors.

The family wishes to the thank Mountain Regional Hospice for the care they gave.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church with Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating, assisted by Mr. Chris Fisher. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Larry Anglin, Jr., Jeff McMillion, Jamie Helms, Andy Bostic, David Kay, and Paul Kay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Brinkley, Tommy Vest, E. C. "Jabo" Jones, Elwood Deisher, Kenny Lowman, and Dink Knick. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
