Gerald Miller McCulley, age 53, of 600 Prospect Walk, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, March 31, 2017 in Roanoke, Virginia.
He was born April 6, 1963 in Clifton Forge to Jerald McCulley and Armilda McCutchen McCulley Hayes.
He was a stocker for Walmart in Bonsack and enjoyed drawing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Howard McCulley and his maternal grandparents, Viola and Lloyd McCutchen.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Patton Caldwell McCulley of Roanoke; his mother, Armilda Hayes and husband, John of Clifton Forge; his father, Jerald McCulley of Bedford; his paternal grandmother, Alma McCulley of Botetourt County; a daughter, Christy Caldwell and boyfriend, Cody of Roanoke; a son, Jake Caldwell and wife, Brooke of Salem; a sister, Teresa Kimberlin of Clifton Forge; a step sister, Deanna Montgomery and husband, Monty of Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Star Patton of Roanoke and Rhonda Bryant and husband, Rodney of Botetourt County; two brothers-in-law, Teddy Patton and wife, Melissa of Roanoke, and Stevie Patton and wife, Dee of Pennsylvania; an aunt, Carolyn Bowyer and husband, Calvin of Bedford; an uncle, Clifford McCulley and wife, Lynn of Botetourt County; two grandchildren, Kaleb Caldwell and Nevaeh Caldwell; five nieces, Jessica Hammer and husband, Daniel, Michaela Spangler, Christina Campbell, Kaylah Carter and husband, Travis, and Chelsea Wright and husband, Chris; and two nephews, Codey Browning and Kellie Browning.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend John Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Rodney Bryant, Travis Carter, Cody Blankenship, Jake Caldwell, Monty Montgomery, and Teddy Patton.
The family received friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, Suite 200, Landover, MD 20785.
