Obituary for Steven J. Klimara Steven J. Klimara
Former Machinist Was Potts Creek Resident

Mr. Steven J. Klimara, age 76, of Potts Creek (Covington, Virginia) went to be with his Lord, Friday, April 14, 2017.

He was the husband of Jean Harmon Klimara.

Mr. Klimara was born January 5, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Edward and Rose Buckiewicz Klimara.

He was employed as a machinist by the Illinois Tool Works in Glenview before his retirement.

Steven was a truly warm and friendly person who drew people to him like a magnet.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Klimara is survived by one brother, Raymond Klimara and wife, Ann of Mount Prospect, IL; one son, Steve E. Klimara of Chicago; two daughters, Katherine Klimara of Lakemoor, IL and Michaeline Skrzpczak and husband, Mark; three grandchildren, Madelene Skrzpcak and twins, Daniel and Joseph Skrzpcak of Chicago; the mother of his children, Arlene Frost Klimara of Chicago; a very special cousin, Marilyn Chrusniak; co-workers from ITW who stayed close to Steve and Jean, Mike Mihalik and Richie Przybylek; three brothers-in-law, Otis Harmon, David Bowers and Bill Fleener; four sisters-in-law, Nancy, Sylvia, Doris and Brenda, whom Jean thinks that he sometimes loved more than her! HA!; a number of nieces and nephews in Chicago and here in Virginia who loved and respected him very much.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Klimara was preceded in death by his infant twin as well as his youngest brother, Arthur Klimara.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Father Tom Collins officiating. Following the service, family and friends will gather at Steve and Jean’s home on Mert Road, Covington. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; http://www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
