Obituary for Pansy Warden Caldwell Pansy Warden Caldwell
Longtime Homemaker Was Christiansburg Native

Pansy Warden Caldwell, age 69, of 2505 Maldon Street, Low Moor, Virginia, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.

Pansy was born August 27, 1947 in Christiansburg, Virginia, to the late Lloyd and Ruby Wilson Warden.

She was a homemaker as well as a babysitter for the children of neighbors and friends.

Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, her nieces, and her nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Caldwell; a son, Alan Porter; a step daughter, Patricia White; and a brother, Frankie Warden.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Lewis Caldwell of Low Moor; a daughter, Theresa Porter of Staunton; a son, Lewis Porter of Covington; five sisters, Darlene Caldwell of Low Moor, Juanita Boggs of West Virginia, Carolyn Patton of Roanoke, Diane Caldwell of Huntsville, AL, and Linda Waldron of Roanoke; two brothers, Homer Warden of Troutville and Gary Warden of Low Moor; five grandchildren, Ricky Dudley, Kasey Dudley, Michael Porter, Danny Porter, and Melinda Porter; a great grandchild, Keagan Dudley; and a number of nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Natasha Barron, Gracie Barron, and Faith Barron.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Pastor John Godfrey officiating. Interment will immediately follow. The family will visit with friends at the cemetery following the service.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
