Stoney Lee Riley, 69, of 3503 Jackson River Road, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Lewis Gale in Salem.

He was born March 16, 1948 in Barbour County, West Virginia, the son of the late Sherman Riley and Madaline Evix Riley.

Mr. Riley was a painting Superintendent for Brock Maintenance in Gonzalas, Louisiana. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching football.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda Lodema Riley; 7 children, Allen Horn of Covington, Peggy Cooper of Ponchaloua, Louisiana, Susan Rosa and husband, Homie of Lynchburg, Virginia, Kimberly Gant and husband, Benjamin and Charlyne Tibbs and husband, Bernard, all of Rhoadsville, Virginia; Tracey Riley of Culpeper Virginia, Stonie Holmes and husband, Miguel of Gordonsville, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Sherwood Riley of Ohio, Jerry Riley and Robert Riley both of West Virginia; 2 sisters, Retha Hunt and Shirley Riley both of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren; 18 brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home.
