Obituary for Ora Elizabeth (Liz) Crawford Ora Elizabeth (Liz) Crawford
Clifton Forge Native Was Longtime Lab Tech At ARH

Ora Elizabeth (Liz) Crawford, age 84, of 448 E. Dolly Ann Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence.

Liz was born May 20, 1933 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Hallie Patterson Crawford-Lee and Herman Watts.

She was educated in Clifton Forge, where she graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1952.

She was a Lab Tech at Alleghany Regional Hospital, where she retired with 35 years of service. She also volunteered as a foster grandparent at Mountain View Elementary School for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her only brother, Ronald Crawford.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Susie and John Keller of Covington (the Kellers were also her caregivers); her daughter, Lisa M. Crawford of Clifton Forge; her son, Michael W. Crawford, and his companion, Heather J. Reynolds of Clifton Forge; a son, Earl Warren Fleming of Richmond; two granddaughters, Brittany A. Reynolds of Rockbridge County and Jordan Cottrell of Low Moor; a grandson, Christopher M. Crawford of Clifton Forge; two great grandchildren, Kylle Reynolds and Hunter Reynolds of Rockbridge County; two special "great grandchildren", Brianna Reynolds and A. J. Reynolds of Clifton Forge; a sister-in-law, Margret A. Crawford of Washington D.C.; special families and friends, Twyla Bolden and family, Jeanette Reynolds and family, Clara Keller, Linda Williams, Peggy Crawford and their families; a special co-worker, John Grimes of Clifton Forge; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from Main Street Baptist Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Preston Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at Main Street Baptist Church.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
