William Leon Dobson, 45, of Roanoke, Virginia, formerly of Hot Springs, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence.

He was born October 21, 1971 in Hot Springs, the son of the late Raymond Leon Dobson and Betty Jean Cardwell.

He worked in both the landscaping and restaurant service fields.

He was a loving father, brother and son. He enjoyed karaoke and playing pool. His greatest joy in life were his children and spending time with them.

He is survived by his children, Mariah, Andrew, Darrian, Dae, Dante, Dolce, Deonna and Dyelon; three grandchildren, Camdyn, Canaan, and Caleb; a brother, James Dobson of Upstate, New York; a sister, Ravelle Dobson of Baltimore, Maryland; and numerous aunts, cousins and loved ones.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pinehurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his cousins. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Virginia.
