Daniel Louis (Danny) Ailstock, age 58, of 12 Fourth Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem.

He was born March 1, 1959 in Clifton Forge to the late Legrand Amos "Dan" Ailstock, Jr. and Juanita Craft Ailstock.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in The Special Olympics.

He is survived by three aunts, Shirley Stevens of Lexington, Virginia Ailstock of Salem, and Dona Craft of Clifton Forge; one uncle, Paul Ailstock and wife, Karen of Richmond; numerous cousins; and a special caregiver, Velma Jeffries.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Dr. Lloyd Camp officiating. A private interment will take place at a later time in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Danny's honor to The Special Olympics.
