Obituary for Pauline Hinebaugh Nicely Pauline Hinebaugh Nicely
103 Year-Old Clifton Forge Native Dies In Ohio

Pauline Hinebaugh Nicely, age 103, of Ohio Living-Rockynol in Akron, Ohio, died June 16, 2017 at her residence.

She was born May 14, 1914 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Tilden and Mary Overstreet Hinebaugh.

She graduated from Clifton Forge High School in 1932, then married Carl Griffith Nicely in 1933.

Together, they moved to Madison, Ohio in 1938.

Carl was a manager for Industrial Rayon and Pauline worked at the Madison School in the cafeteria and did secretarial work.

She and Carl loved traveling in the U.S. and abroad.

They moved back to Clifton Forge in 1997 and at the time of his death, they had been married for 73 years. For the past 12 years, she lived at Ohio Livin -Rockynol in Akron, OH.

She was a wonderful caregiver to her family, always offered gracious hospitality, enjoyed growing flowers, and was a wonderful cook. Everyone loved her homemade rolls and strawberry jam.

She was active in the Central Congregational Church in Madison, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl G. Nicely, Jr; three sisters, Thelma, Doodle, and Eva; and four brothers, Walter, Robert, Earl, and Harris.

She is survived by two sons, Alfred Nicely and wife, Judith, and Gale Nicely and wife, Sylvia; a daughter-in-law, Helen Nicely; six grandchildren, Charles, Cindy, Fred, Ben, Catharine and John; and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Lone Star Advent Christian Church, Clifton Forge, with the Reverend Doug Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

The Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Ohio Living-Rockynol, 1150 W Market St, Akron, OH 44313; to the Lone Star Advent Christian Church, 4704 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422; or to The Central Congregational Church, 71 Park St, Madison, OH 44057.
