Delano Haywood Waldron, 70, of Wrightsville in Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Alleghany Heath & Rehabilitation in Clifton Forge.

Mr. Waldron was born February 21, 1947 in Covington, the was son of the late Edward N. and Beatrice Brown Waldron.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lewis Waldron, Nathaniel Waldron, Gilbert Waldron, and Alphonsa Waldron, and one sister, Bernice Dooley.

Delano worked at Best Western Hotel for a number of years.

Surviving are one brother, Albert T. Waldron of Covington, one sister, Yvonne Young of New Jersey, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home.

The family will receive their friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
