Robert Anderson Henson, 69, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his residence.

Born Nov. 2, 1947, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Carl Vaden Henson and Flossie Dorey Henson.

He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army in Vietnam.

Surviving are his son, Corey Lee Henson; one grandchild, Michael Henson; two great-grandchildren, Caiden and Collin Henson; sister, Loretta Gilbert; Annie Watkins and Kimberly Martin.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Robert's brother-in-law, Gary Gilbert. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 17, at the funeral home.
