Bath County Native Was U. S. Army Veteran, CSX Welder

Frank Hileman McAllister, age 88, of 635 T. C. Walker Road, Millboro, Virginia, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was born May 14, 1929 in Bath County to the late Clarence McAllister and Lizzie Hart McAllister.

He served in the United States Army and a welder for CSX Transportation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Barbara Scott McAllister of Millboro; five sons, Dee McAllister of Craigsville, Frank McAllister, Jr. and fiancee, Faye of Craigsville, Douglas McAllister of Narrows, Bobby McAllister and wife, Lynn of Millboro, and Ralph McAllister and wife, Dottie of Lewisburg, WV; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a special daughter-in-law, Ida McAllister; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Millboro Christian Church, Millboro with Reverend Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will follow in Millboro Christian Church Cemetery, Millboro. Pallbearers will be Danny Grimm, Andy Forbes, Matthew Burke, Michael Scott McAllister, George Alphin, and Josh McAllister.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
