Former Pinehurst Motel Manager Was Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Member

Mrs. Dreama Pearl Rucker Ramsey, age 70, of Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

She was the wife of Paul Junior Ramsey.

Mrs. Ramsey was born December 26, 1946 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Glinia Rucker.

She was reared in the home of Ted and Marie Dressler.

Mr. Dressler was always thought of as her Daddy. Dreama was employed as a manager of the Pinehurst Motel.

Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was a former thirty year member of Dunlap Rescue Squad Auxiliary and liked to square dance.

In addition to her husband, Paul Junior Ramsey, Mrs. Ramsey is survived by a son, Paul Scott Ramsey and wife, Penny of Covington; a grandson, Brandon Scott Ramsey of Covington; a step grandson, Christopher Crawford; a brother, Gilmer Dressler and wife, Rita of Covington; a half-brother, John Dressler; a half-sister, Carolyn Dressler; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Dressler and Edna McConnell; nieces and nephews, Tracy Hodges, Stacy Lynn Ransome, Dale McConnell, Heather Redman and husband, Roy, Christopher Dressler, Melvin Snead and wife, Laura, Jeff Dressler, T.J. Dressler and Freda Burns; and a very dear lifelong friend, Jeanie Persinger.

Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by a daughter, Trina Irene Ramsey; a sister, Ethel Dressler Snead; and a brother, Teddy J. Dressler, Sr.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 4804 Johnson Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426 or Dunlap Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 218, Covington, VA 24426.
