Obituary for Henry (Boo) Donald Shifflett, Sr. Henry (Boo) Donald Shifflett, Sr.
Mechanic, Truck Driver Was Millboro Resident

Henry (Boo) Donald Shifflett, Sr., 79, of 117 Lowman Drive, Millboro, Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.

He was born September 18, 1937 in Augusta Springs, Virginia, the son of the late Gilbert Earl Shifflett and Thelma Louise Jackson Shifflett.

He was married to the late Joyce Rose Wade Shifflett. He worked as a mechanic and a truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors and working on cars and trucks.

He is survived by a son, Henry "Skip" Donald Shifflett, Jr. of Millboro; two brothers, Wallace Shiflett of Staunton, Virginia and Danny Ray Shiflett and wife, Annie of Craigsville, Virginia; three sisters, Joyce Brooks and friend, Ernie Knuckles, Patricia Varner, and Bea Hammer and husband, Don, all of Staunton; four grandchildren, William Shifflett, Megan DeFranco and husband, Stephen, Patricia Michaels and Travis Shifflett; five great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Stanley Wade and wife, Charlotte; and a sister-in-law, Betty Wade.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Bobby Shiflett; a sister, Louise Fridley; a granddaughter, Heather Marie; and a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Wade.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Millboro with Reverend Rob Sherrard officiating. Pallbearers will be Henry "Skip" Shifflett, William Shifflett, Travis Shifflett, Pete Brinkley, Gary Fridley and Stephen DeFranco.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Millboro Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
