Obituary for William Donald (Donnie) Dock Sr. William Donald (Donnie) Dock Sr.
Former White Column Inn owner Was Modine Supervisor

William Donald (Donnie) Dock Sr. of Lexington, Virginia, departed this life on August 11, 2107 to be with the Lord.

He passed away peacefully at this home, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Franklin Dock, and his father, Lacey Dock.

Donnie was a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Donnie was a veteran of the United States Army and commander of American Legion Post No. 291.

Over the years, he worked at W&L, the Lexington Country Club, and The College Inn. He was owner and operator of the White Column Inn on Main Street, presently known as Macado's. He retired from Modine Manufacturing Company, where he was a respected supervisor, in 1995.

Donnie is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, DeLois, of Lexington; sons, Aaron (Deborah) of Baltimore, Md., Don Jr. (Monica) of Glasgow, and Kevin of Lexington; the love of his life, his daughter Valerie of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren, Aaron, Markus, Kelly, Nelson and Angela; three great-grandchildren, Onyx, Markus and Natalia; and a host of friends and people who loved him.

The family will hold a private memorial. Rest in peace, Red.
