Obituary for Jack Glenn Weeks Jack Glenn Weeks
Fairlea Resident Was Retired WVDH Inspector

Jack Glenn Weeks, 73 of Fairlea, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Peyton Hospice House.

Born July 12, 1944 in Alderson, Jack was the son of the late Joseph Glenn and Bernice Edith Mays Weeks.

Jack was a retired inspector for the West Virginia Department of Highways, and a member of the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. His CB handle was "inspector" and he enjoyed using the CB radio and the friends he met over the CB. He also enjoyed bowling.

Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his special grandmother, Sarah Jane "Sadie" Phillips Mays and her husband, George; grandparents, Robert Milton and Virginia Huntington Weeks; sister, Wanda Phillips and her husband, SM "Buck" Phillips; a sister, Doris H. Perry and a brother, Robert Joseph Weeks.

Survivors include sister, Joyce W. Housby of Alderson; special friend, Pete Cochran and his family; his very special dog, Patches, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Alderson with Pastor Kathy Keadle officiating. Burial will follow at the Fletcher Addition of the Alderson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Donations of sympathy may be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg WV 24901.

The Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
