Betsy H. Floyd, 71, wife of Roy Lee Floyd, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at her home.
She was born August 18, 1946, in Lexington, a daughter of Bertha Moore Hostetter and the late Carl W. Hostetter.
Betsy and Roy were joined in marriage on Sept. 17, 1966. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Betsy loved her cat "Kitty," her flowers and gardening, and working with preschool children.
Survivors include her husband, Roy; son, Brian L. Floyd; daughter, Cynthia F. Stipp and her husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Kaila Stipp and Eden Floyd; sisters, Patricia Knick and Phyllis Lineberry; aunt, Loreane Barger; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Glen Holman. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's research.
