Brenda Kay Ellis, 53, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday November 3, 2017.
Mrs. Ellis was born March 23, 1964 in Towson, Maryland, the daughter of the late Junior Mack Ellis and Nancy Jane Habron Ellis.
Surviving are a son, Michael Nelson of Waynesboro, a daughter, Crystal Tierney of Hartford, CT, and two sisters Linda Reedy and husband, Jake of Harrisonburg, Debbie Dolly of Winchester.
In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at The Good News Christian Church with the Rev. Linda Kagarise officiating.
The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
