Harriet Ann Pleasants, 77, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born Oct. 10, 1940, in Lexington, she was a daughter of George Howard Davis and Mildred Lyle Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Pleasants.

Mrs. Pleasants was a member of Randolph Street United Methodist Church and was a housemother at a Washington and Lee fraternity.

Surviving are her son, Wendell Ray Tyson; one grandchild; and brothers, Melvin Davis, Steve Davis, Howard Davis and John Davis.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Reginald A. Early. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
