Obituary for James Melvin "Jimmy" Fainter, Jr. James Melvin "Jimmy" Fainter, Jr.
Member Of Short Hill Hunt Club For Over 50 Years

James Melvin "Jimmy" Fainter, Jr., 79, of Natural Bridge Station, VA, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Mr. Fainter was born September 5, 1938, in Rockbridge County and was a son of the late James Melvin Fainter and Madeline Smith Fainter.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Campbell Fainter.

Jimmy was a member of the Short Hill Hunt Club for over 50 years and was retired from Hermitite.

Mr. Fainter is survived by his son, Greg Fainter, and his wife, Teresa, of Natural Bridge Station; and his special grandchildren, Justin Fainter and his wife, Kelly, of Concord, N.C., Damion Beverly and Ashley Beverly, of Natural Bridge Station; also two special great-granddaughters, Brooklyn Beverly and Chelsee Hogan; a special cousin, Nancy Landes, of Glasgow; and a special hunting and fishing buddy, Robert Hickman.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, at Harrison Funeral Home by the Rev. Sheldon Sorrels, the Rev. Terry Bostic and W.A. Mills. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Glasgow First Aid Crew, P. O. Box 421, Glasgow, VA 24555.
