Retired Surveyor Dies At Age 71
Ralph Otto Collier, Jr., age 71, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Apt 614, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany in Low Moor.
He was born September 28, 1946 in Keokee (Lee County), Virginia, to the late Ralph Otto Collier, Sr. and Helen M. Penley Collier.
He was a retired partner and surveyor for B. C. Consultants.
He is survived by a daughter, Victoria Buechling of Hagerstown, MD; two sons, Ralph Otto Collier of Linden and Charles Collier of; two sisters, Patricia Harris and husband, Rodney and Freda Harris and husband, Gene, both of Covington; a brother, Daniel Collier of Keymar, MD; two grandchildren, Amber Buechling and Aaron Buechling; his 6th floor friends and staff at Scott Hill Apartments; and his close friend, Jim Shaeffer.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at Scott Hill Apartments, Clifton Forge, at a later date.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The Salvation Army.
The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
