Judith Marion (Penny) Hyler, 52, of Covington, Virginia, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 5:07 a.m.

She was born April 19, 1965 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Lynn Francis and Judith Marion Teaford–Hyler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristie Leigh Burns.

Penny was employed as a stocker at Wal-Mart. Everyone who came across her beautiful path in this life loved her.

Surviving are her fiance, William Pullin, of Covington; three children, Dwayne Allen Burns and his wife, Amy, Rebecca Burns and fiance, Jonathan Tucker, and Alicia Burns and fiance, Holly Black, all of Covington; eight grandchildren, Tammy Irvine, Shckeria Burns, Ashton Burns, Judith Gravley, James Gravley,; Remington Burns, Laney Burns, and Eliana Black; three sisters, Frances Dodd and Kathy Loan and husband, Thomas Loan, all of Iron Gate; and Martha Rutter of Covington; two brothers, Dwayne Hyler and wife, Bonnie, of Covington and Gerald Hyler and wife, Tressa of Clifton Forge; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. graveside in Mountain View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
