Obituary for Lewie Daniel (Dan) Webb Lewie Daniel (Dan) Webb
WestRock Retiree Was Alleghany County Native

Mr. Lewie Daniel (Dan) Webb, age 67, of Covington, Virginia, died December 27, 2017 at his residence.

He was the husband of the late Jane Barker "Frosty" Webb.

Mr. Webb was born on May 7, 1950 in Alleghany County, the son of the late James Albert Webb and Virginia Mae Sizemore Webb.

He was a retired operator on number 8 paper machine at WestRock.

Mr. Webb was a member of the Winding River Hunt Club in Bath County. He liked to work with wood and enjoyed the outdoors. Also, Mr. Webb cherished his family.

Mr. Webb was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.

Mr. Webb is survived by two sons, Daniel Eric Webb and wife, Amanda, and Matthew Kyle Webb; four grandchildren, Maggie Webb, Mikayla Webb, Rilee Webb, and Lennox Webb; seven brothers, Tim Webb, Steve Webb, Rocky Webb and his wife, Jean, Ricky Webb and his wife, Mildred, Jimmy Webb and wife, Jenny, Dennis Webb, and Doug Webb and his wife, Sherry; sister, Anita Cary and her husband, David of Covington; two sisters-in-law, Lisa Barker Gagnon and her husband, Michael, and Jeanine Barker Sheppard; two brothers-in-law, Allen Barker, and John Barker and his wife, Cindy; mother-in-law, Norma Gray Ellis; and also a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Daniel Eric Webb, Matthew Kyle Webb, Tim Webb, Steve Webb, Rocky Webb, Ricky Webb, Jimmy Webb, Dennis Webb, and Doug Webb. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Dunlap Fire and Rescue, P. O Box 218, Covington, VA 24426.
