Sandra Kay Ramsey, 54, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born May 5, 1963, in Lexington, she was a daughter of Mary Ann Higgins Ramsey and the late Thomas Larry Ramsey.

She worked as a waitress at the Waffle House.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Dallas Joey Ramsey of Buena Vista; brothers, Larry Ramsey of Staunton, Lance Ramsey of Buena Vista, and Todd Ramsey of Burkesville; and a sister, Deborah Crawford of Prince George.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Pastor Timothy Hall. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 2.
