Susan Jane Turner LaFountain, 73, of Hot Springs, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her residence.

She was born April 25, 1944 in Malone, New York, the daughter of the late John Leroy Turner and Blanche McKenzie Turner.

She was employed as a certified dietary manager for Bath County Hospital for 14 years.

Susan loved antique sales, auctions and crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur James LaFountain, whom she married on July 30, 1966 of Hot Springs; two children, Julie LaFountain and friend, Geoff Emery of Blue Ridge, Virginia, Joann Medina and husband, Miguel of Chesterfield, Virginia; two grandchildren, Samuel Ryder and Gabriel Medina of Chesterfield, Virginia; four sisters, Janet Matthews and husband, George, Marian Haig, Sally Safford, Linda Abare and husband, Steven, all of Malone, New York; several nieces and nephews; and a loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Turner.

A memorial service will be held in the springtime to celebrate her life.
