Alleghany High School Graduate Was First Baptist Church Employee
Roger Dale Higdon, 54, of Roanoke, Virginia, went to Heaven on Saturday, December 30, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Higdon; and step-father, David H. Meadows.
Roger was a graduate of Alleghany High School and was employed by Elizabeth Arden for 23 years.
In recent years Roger was employed by First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nebras Higdon; daughter, Jennie Higdon; son, Jared Higdon; grandchildren, Amara Higdon and Landon Kessler; mother, Ermine Meadows; sisters, Deborah Simmons, Cathy Logsdon, and Tammy Robar; brother, David Meadows and wife, Julie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial be made to First Baptist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Faith Chapel at First Baptist Church, 321 Marshall Ave., SW, Roanoke, Virginia, by Dr. Bryan Smith and Pastor Wayne Gadman.
The family will receive friends following the service.
