Mildred C. Edwards of Raphine departed this life Saturday, January 6, 2018 at home with family members present.

She was the wife of William Edwards.

Mil was born on June 25, 1939 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Nettie Chittum and M.A. Chittum.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Harold T. Sandridge Sr.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three sons, H. Thomas Sandridge (Mary), Kevin Sandridge (Charlotte) and Randell Lee Sandridge (Debbie); a sister, Betty C. Baker (Jim); two brothers, Bobby Chittum (Lib) and C. Wayne Chittum; six grandchildren, Joe Sandridge (Jenny), Randell Lee Sandridge Jr., Amanda Mattox (Seth), Hunter Sandridge (Jessica), Savannah Sandridge and Sydney Sandridge; and five great-grandchildren, Owen Sandridge, Jaxon Mattox, Adalida Mattox, Harper Sandridge and Adalynn Sandridge.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 10 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at New Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Raphine.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 at Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
