E. Jeannette Thacker, 81, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 11, 1936, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Samuel Wilkins and Etta Conner Wilkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin "Baldy" Thacker, who passed away on December 30, 2017 and her son, Ricky K. Thacker; and two brothers, Sonny Wilkins and Keith Wilkins.

Surviving are her daughters, Charlotte T. Cook and husband, Pete and Christy M. Dame and husband, Terry; three grandchildren; and four great -grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Bostic. Burial will be private.
