Kenneth Melvin Meadows, 73, of 135 7th Avenue in Neola, West Virginia, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his residence.

He was born July 19, 1944 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Melvin Meadows and Martha Ward Meadows.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three infant sons.

Kenneth retired in 2008 as a stationary engineer with WalMart in Covington.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Virginia Rose "Susie" Meadows of Neola, WV; two sons, Kenneth Meadows II and his wife, Veronica, of Neola, WV and Kevin Meadows of Greenville, VA; five grandchildren, Krystal Meadows, Kenneth Meadows III, Thaddeus Brandon, Hezekiah Brandon and Trey Tucker; four great grandchildren who were the love of his life, Violette Meadows, Arura Meadows, Luna Meadows and Layden Long, his lttle buddy; five brothers, Manual Meadows and his wife, Myra, of Cockran, KA; Charlie Meadows and his wife, Charlotte of Clifton Forge, VA; Eddie Meadows and his wife, Lou of Covington; Steve Meadows and his wife, Leslie of Covington; Marshall Meadows and his wife, Brenda of Iron Gate and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated.

The funeral service will be held Sunday January 14, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.

Following the service the family will receive friends at Arritt Funeral Home.
