Obituary for Dale Eugene Williams Dale Eugene Williams
Former Bath County High School Valedictorian Was Web Designer, English Teacher

Dale Eugene Williams, 57, of Staunton, Virginia died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

He was born September 26, 1960 in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, the son of Judith Kay Clemons Williams Hepler and the late Roy Simon Williams.

Dale was formerly employed as a web designer for Rappahannock Electric and was also an English teacher in Taiwan.

He enjoyed travelling and the outdoors, and once hitchhiked across the country. He played the guitar, wrote poetry, and was an avid reader.

Dale was the valedictorian at Bath County High School in 1978, and a graduate of Mary Washington College with a Masters from VCU in Creative Writing.

Dale is survived by his mother; step-mother, Nancy Williams; brothers, Doug Williams and wife, Kathy of Springfield, Tennessee, Donald Williams and wife, Karen of Hot Springs; sister, Denise Williams of Clifton Forge; step-sister, Lori Nelson and husband, Brian of Hot Springs; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, a special friend, Ms. Jodi Ellis of Fredericksburg, and his beloved dog, Fletcher.

He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, Richard Hepler; and a good friend, Paige Haley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., February 3, 2018 at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Shaver officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Hot Springs Firehouse.
