Obituary for Evelyn Dorene Parker Cales Evelyn Dorene Parker Cales
Bedford Native Dies At Age 60

Evelyn Dorene Parker Cales of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia passed into the hands of our Lord on January 27, 2018 after a long illness. Born December 31, 1957 in Bedford, VA, she was the daughter of Abner and Helen Parker.

She was proceeded in death by her father Abner Parker, sister, Pam Schoensee, brother, Roger Parker and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Quick.

Survivors include her mother, Helen Parker of White Sulphur Springs; husband of 34 years, Melvin R. Cales of White Sulphur Springs; daughters, Melissa Pritt of Covington, VA and Crystal Bretz, also of Covington, VA; brother, Eddie and Teresa Parker; ten grandchildren, Tanesha, Keiara, Arieanna, Mark Albert, Abigale, Kara, Phillip, Jeremiah, Jazmine and Marcus; five great-grandchildren, Amberlynn, John, Nikara, Zayden and Kai.

Evelyn loved the simple things in life like gardening, pets, wildlife and children, which she had around her all her life. Although her sickness has taken her away, it cannot take the sweet memories of our life with her. She will be missed by all she touched, but never forgotten by any.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs, with Pastor Gene Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV. Friends and family will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the funeral home in White Sulphur Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 319 W. Washington St., Charleston, WV 25302 or to White Sulphur Springs EMS.
