Obituary for Jean Elizabeth Stone Jean Elizabeth Stone
Longtime X-Ray Technician Dies At Age 88

Jean Elizabeth Stone, 88, Ronceverte, WV passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at The Brier in Ronceverte, WV.

She was born on July 31, 1929, in Mullins, WV to the late Clyde Clifford Hedrick, Sr. and Rhoie Muriel Barker Hedrick.

She was a member of the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church and spent many years working for Greenbrier Valley Hospital in Ronceverte as an X-Ray Technician, and was a secretary for the Ronceverte Elementary School, Greenbrier Physicians and Dr. Robert Shirey.

Other than her parents she is preceded by her husband of 54 years, Launie A. Stone Sr.; daughter, Jeanetta and husband, Daniel Hanson of Columbia, SC; son, Launie A. Stone, Jr.; siblings, Nancy Louise Hedrick, Larry Hedrick, Sr., Jack Hedrick, and Clyde "C.C." Hedrick, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Dakota.

Survivors include sons, Stephen (Ellen) Stone, Rev. Clifford (Kathy) Stone, Jeffrey Stone and companion Kimberly Stover all of Ronceverte, WV; brother, Robert J. Hedrick of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Kris, Barry, Stevie, Brandy, and Clifton; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb, Brieanna, Canaan, and Nyoka. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Salem Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2018 with Rev. Clifford Stone and Pastor Stephen Baldwin, and Mister Barry Stone officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th Floor, New York NY, 10022.

The Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
