Obituary for Lois Perkins Crewdson Lois Perkins Crewdson
Artist, Poet Was Retired Teacher, Counselor

Lois Perkins Crewdson, 83, of Lexington, Virginia died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at her home.

Born October 14, 1934 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Morris Perkins and Opal Iantha Adams Perkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Perkins and James Medley.

Lois was an award-winning artist and a published poet, and loved hiking and enjoyed spending time with her family. She retired as a teacher and counselor.

Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Dr. Robert Henry Crewdson; sons, Mark Allen Crewdson and wife, Judith Mae Crewdson and Robert Lee Crewdson; sisters, Kathryn Blair, Nera Hunt, Ruth Adams; and six grandchildren, Joshua Crewdson, Rachel Crewdson, Deborah Crewdson, Kathryn Crewdson, Margaret Crewdson and Mary Crewdson., A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 9 at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. David Cox. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Grace Episcopal Church by the Rev. Dr. Robert Henry Crewdson and Pastor Mark Schroeder officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Lois to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street Lexington, VA 24450.
