Thomas Madison Dunlap, 89, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at The Mayflower.

Born July 11, 1928 in Lexington, he was a son of the late Clarence M. Dunlap and Margaret J. McCown Dunlap.

Tom was a member of New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. He retired as a school principal. He spent most of his career with Highland Belle Elementary School. He also helped to take care of the family farm.

Tom was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Dunlap; three brothers, Halstead, Walter, and Pat Dunlap; and one sister, Jane Snyder.

Surviving are son, Richard Dunlap, and daughter, Janet McIntosh; four grandchildren, Nichole McQueen, Shannon McQueen, Tyler Dunlap and Spencer Dunlap; and four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Wilburn, Ellie-May Reynolds, Oliver Reynolds and Emma McQueen.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, February 26 at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Casey Clark and Rev. Rachel Clark officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
