Hayden Eli Carpenter, infant, of Covington, Virginia died Monday, February 26, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

Hayden was born on February 26, 2018 in Roanoke, the son of Chase Carpenter and Shantell Elaine Tingler.

In addition to his parents, he was survived by two sisters, Kealeigh Blythe Tingler and Addison Carpenter; one brother, D'Andre Givionni Jennings; four aunts, Brandy Tingler Snook, Sarina Lynn Tingler and her significant other, Robert Thomas Hinkle, Jr., Irene Nicole Tingler and Lauren Van Haintze; a grandmother, Chrystal Tingler McCulley; a grandfather, Gene Carpenter; a great-grandmother, Adena Carrol McCulley and her husband, Ricky Eugene McCulley; several great aunts and uncles; and several cousins.

Hayden was preceded in death by two great-grandfathers, Robert Lee Morris, Sr. and Loren Carpenter; two great-grandmothers, Virginia Carpenter and Joann Robb; a grandfather, Tracy Dale McCulley; a grandmother, Lona Jolene Carpenter; one great-uncle, John Wayne McCulley; one infant uncle, Jeremy Scott Tingler; and one infant cousin, Landon Todd Barnes Price.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Noel officiating. Interment will be at Lone Star Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
