Gary Allen Malone, 64, of Covington, Virginia died Monday, March 5, 2018 at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Malone was born July 30, 1953 in Waynesboro, the son of the late William R. and Pearl Hite Malone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Ruby C. Cook, and a sister, Marion Evans.

Gary was a purchasing agent of food and beverage for the Great Eastern Resort McGaheysville.

He is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Malone and her husband, Andrew White of San Francisco, CA; two brothers, Pat Malone of Covington and Sonny Malone of Roanoke, and a sister, Margarete Seaman of Keyser, WV; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated.

A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
