Doris Elaine Hostetter Tolley, 81, of Lexington, Virginia died Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born April 28, 1936 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Ellis J. Hostetter and Jessie James McKemy Hostetter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon DeWitt Tolley.

Doris was a member of Lauderdale A.R. Presbyterian Church and retired from Centel after 35 years of service.

Surviving are her sons, Larry "Keel" Thompson and Michael "Buzzy" Thompson; six grandchildren, Brandy Thompson, Casey Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Jesse Lee Thompson, Kevin Hostetter and Shane Hostetter; brothers, Allan B. Hostetter and Milton B. Hostetter, and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling III officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home.
