Obituary for Billie Lee Cahoon Billie Lee Cahoon
Rockbridge County Native Was Westvaco Retiree

Billie Lee Cahoon, age 82, of 4120 Firehouse Circle, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born November 8, 1935 in Collierstown of Rockbridge County, Virginia to the late Samuel Dewitt Cahoon and Sarah Cummings Cahoon.

He served in the United States Air Force and attended Averitt College.

He retired as an Instrumentation Journeyman after 43 years of employment with Westvaco Corporation of Covington.

He was a member of Kayser Memorial Presbyterian Church in Iron Gate, and loved fishing and tinkering with old cars.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Chesnut Cummings Cahoon of Clifton Forge; his former wife and mother of his children, Janet Cahoon of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Debbie Cahoon of Penhook, and Sue Cahoon and fiance, Chris Hall of Clifton Forge; two sons, Tony Cahoon and wife, Missy of Buchanan, and Patrick Cahoon and his significant other, Jeanie of Clifton Forge; a step daughter, Dianalee "Sunshine" Bohme of Seattle, WA; a step son, Robin Cummings of Iron Gate; two sisters, Betty Dressler and husband, Paul, and Evelyn Beard, all of Covington; six grandchildren, Taylor Broughfman, Chelsie Cahoon, Haylee Hunt, Emily Hunt, Patrick Cahoon, Jr., and Nicole Broughfman; a step granddaughter, Kayla Shires and husband, Scott of Botetourt County; a number of nieces and nephews; special friend, Gary Gilpin of Covington; and special companion, Sienna.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Paul Brokaw officiating. Following the service, his body will be cremated. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
