Obituary for Edward Lee Silver Edward Lee Silver
Madison Heights Resident Was Temple Baptist Church Member

Edward Lee Silver, 77, of Madison Heights, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his residence.

He was the husband of Linda Hoke Silver.

Born May 30, 1940, in Yancey County, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Edward Lee Silver and the late Maude Atkins Silver.

Edward was a retired insurance agent for United Insurance Company of America and a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church. Edward also served our country in the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his three children, Nathan Elliott Landis (Lisa) of Wendell, NC, Shawn Heath Silver (Tonya) of Madison Heights and Heather Alyce Silver Mullins (Steven) of Elon; seven siblings, Rowena Loyd of Staunton, Jo Ramsey of Morganton, NC, Clarence Silver of Bakersville, NC, Ethel Crewe (Rev. James) of Lynchburg, Rebecca Corbin (Dennis) of Staunton, Robert Lewis Silver (Phyllis) of Johnson City, TN and Bruce Ray Silver (Tina Tyler) of Longwood, FL; nine grandchildren, Alisha Landis, Brittany Landis, Casey Lee Silver, Taylor Landis, Colin Mullins, Samuel Landis, Colby Mullins, Calie Mullins and William Christian Silver; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church with the Pastor J. D. Surbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Hoke Cemetery in Covington.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church and at other times at the residence.

Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church.
