Obituary for William James (Jamie) Curtis William James (Jamie) Curtis
Waynesboro Natie Was Lone Star Advent Christian Church Member

William James (Jamie) Curtis, age 47, of 5503 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Saturday, March 31, 2018.

He was born September 19, 1970 in Waynesboro, Virginia to Michael Preston Curtis and Roxana Kay Marks Curtis.

Prior to his disability, he worked as a welder and laborer for Stella Jones in Goshen.

Jamie attended Lone Star Advent Christian Church and loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Marks.

In addition to his parents, Michael and Roxana Curtis of Clifton Forge, Jamie is survived by a son, James Benjamin "Ben" Curtis of Clifton Forge; a step son, Cody Ingram of Craigsville; a sister, Nicole Curtis Keene of Valley Ridge, Covington; his paternal grandmother, Doris Curtis of Clifton Forge; and his niece and nephew, Kendell and Peyton Keene.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Doug Moore and Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends following the service at Lone Star Advent Christian Church Life Center on Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department, 3910 Longdale Furnace Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia 24422.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
