Alleghany County Native Was Longtime Homestead Employee

Ms. Barbara Jean Campbell Sizemore, age 67, of Covington, Virginia died Friday, April 6, 2018 at her residence.

Ms. Sizemore was born September 12, 1950 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Selice Aaron Campbell and Annie Beatrice Landis Campbell.

A lifetime resident of this community, she was employed by the Homestead where she worked in the housekeeping department for thirty-six years.

Barbara was a member of the Christian faith. She enjoyed dancing especially at the live music shows held at AET Park and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Ms. Sizemore is survived by a daughter, Annie Susan Altizer and husband, Matthew of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Taylor Altizer, Cheyanne Armentrout and Genna Altizer; five sisters, Mary "Liz" Lipscomb, Juanita "Needie" Montgomery, Betty Morgan, Ethel Smith and Ruth Fix, all of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Sizemore was preceded in death by her first husband, David Lyle Armentrout; two brothers, Charles Campbell and Bug Campbell; and one sister, Helen Pritt.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Zach Royer and Rev. Donald Lee Altizer officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Morgan, Ronnie Morgan, Jamie Huppman, Lee Smith, Robert Newcomer and Steven Burns.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
