Charles (Dickie) Richard Harold, 81, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Friday, April 13, 2018 at his residence.

He was born May 19, 1936 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the son of the late James Welton Harold and Ruth Ann Taney Harold.

He was married to Martha Jane Kuntz Harold, whom he married on December 20, 1969.

He was retired from Bacova Guild Ronile. Prior to that he worked at the Cascades Inn for the Homestead, and he worked in Puerto Rico as the manager of the pro shop at The Darado Beach Country Club.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, having served during the Korean War.

He was an avid reader who enjoyed westerns. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved fishing, the outdoors, and golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Kuntz Harold of Hot Springs; a son, Zachary Landon Harold and wife, Amanda of Daleville, Virginia; and grandchildren, Balor, Miller, and Bridger Harold of Daleville.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
