Violet Edwards Sorrells, 91, of Lexington, Virginia died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Kendal at Lexington.

She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Vivian Franklin Edwards and Mary Mace Edwards.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Sorrells Sr.

Violet was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by a son, Charles Thomas Sorrells Jr.; a brother, Harold Edwards; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Daniel Xisto.
