Michael Wayne Carawan, 64, of Lexington, Virginia passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 4, 1953 in Rockbridge County.

Surviving are his mother, Zella Tyree Carawan of Lexington; brother, James Carawan and wife, Lorrie of Vinton; sister, Kimberly Jo Carawan of Raleigh, N.C.; two nephews, Cody and Caleb Carawan; one niece, Casi Carawan; and girlfriend, Barbaree Wilson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday April 27, 2018 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
