Martha Wells McCormick, daughter of the late Emmett Wells and Helen Engleman McCormick, passed away on February 4, 2018.

She had been lovingly cared for at the Alleghany Health and Rehab in Clifton Forge for the past seven years.

Born on March 29, 1950, Martha graduated from Parry McCluer High School in 1968.

She is survived by her sister, Rosemary McCormick Bell DiAsio of Monument, Colo.; two nephews, two great-nephews and several cousins.

In her early years, Martha was a carefree and fun-loving girl, enjoying friends, family and church activities.

In her later years, as she coped with health challenges, she was the recipient of the devoted and loving care from her parents, and also from a family friend, Ms. Katie McNeil.

A memorial service and reception will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church, 303 E. 24th St., Buena Vista.
